Horizontal Bar Hay Ring

After trying almost every hay feeder design for small ruminates, from access panels, collapsible feeders, and cradle hay feeders, we have settled on two round designs that are essentially small versions of round bush feeders for cattle. These designs allow easy access while also limiting waste. For us the hay feeder designs have encouraged better consumption of undesirable feed, such as stemmy 1st cuttings hay, over all the other competing designs.

These horizontal bar hay rings are made to last! The horizontal bars prevent lambs from entering into the feeder, so that your hay won't get ruined. A mature sheep can still use this ring but cannot reach as far into the middle as the slatted design. It's perfect for a ewe with her lambs.
